Ripe, darkly focused and expressive, the nose of this juicy Cabernet offers concentrated aromas of black cherry syrup, cassis, black raspberry, violet, cedar, toffee and baking spice along with a suggestion of cinnamon “red hots” candy. Cherry syrup and cinnamon are at center-stage on the mid-palate, where zest and tannic grip reveal an impressive structure and give a textural raciness to the mouth-feel. The finish is youthfully coiled yet quite long and the wine will make a fine foil to a dark, fatty roast right now. The patient can expect four years of steady improvement. 2500 cases made.
