This is an impressive Lake County Cabernet that offers aromas of sour dark cherry, black raspberry, pomegranate, vanilla, baking spice and sweet tobacco. Sandalwood, star anise and grenadine join those aromatic elements on the palate, where a bit of tannin and oak firm up the mouth feel. The finish is food-worthy and lingering and the wine should grow in gentility and fruit expression over the next twelve to eighteen months.
