This is an unusually expressive Verdehlo, one that offers forthcoming scents of Crenshaw melon, passion fruit, new mown grass and white pepper poised well above some firming minerality. It is gently plump and attractively zesty in the mouth, where herbal, mineral and peppery hints accent it’s richer core of melon, grapefruit and orange and lime zest. The finish is quite dry, appealingly zesty, supple and lingering so the wine proves both food-worthy and ready to enjoy all by itself. It may show it’s very best when served with Asian sea food dishes. 290 cases produced.
