Although Pritchard Hill is the home of brutishly powerful Cabs, Continuum stands out as its most elegant ambassador. The 2019, with 37% Cabernet Franc, is of the quality of the great 2018 yet is even prettier! The nose layers gorgeous aromas of violet, blueberry, grenadine, purple plum, red currant and sour red cherry over savory counterpoints of Darjeeling tea leaf, baking spice, graphite and a floral suggestion of Schezuan peppercorn. It is marvelously supple on the palate where the texture is streamlined and the pristine flavors are framed by deep minerality and beautifully polished tannins. Mid-palate flavors of violet, blueberry and grenadine dominate and remain at center stage through a racy, ultra long, vibrantly fresh finish of genteel lovilines and chiseled focus. Expect at least 6 years of steady improvement and a long life from this striking Cab.
