Notably rich, this fine Merlot well represents its esteemed vineyard. The nose layers aromas of darkly rich dark cherry, blackberry, cassis, bourbon vanilla pipe tobacco, clove, cedar and baking spice into a generous and somewhat gutsy harmony. There are notes of sandalwood, mace, cedar and hazelnut to counterpoint that opulent fruit in the mouth, while tannic grip firms everything to project a more classically food worthy style. Lingering and still likely to improve for another eighteen months, it is already delicious. Organically Farmed, 80 cases produced.
