NVWE Notes: Forthcoming black raspberry, sour dark cherry, pomegranate syrup, grenadine, crushed pink rose, violet, peppercorn and smoked game scents find a focused harmony in the nose of this impressive wine. In the mouth is proves gutsy without being rough or clumsy and is turned texturally lean due to a combination of polished tannins, zest and minerality. The mid-palate and finishing flavors are delicious, and persistent and the balance is close to exquisite. As delicious as it is now, it is likely two or more years from its peak. 75% Syrah & 25% Grenache, picked at 1 1/4 tons per acre, 320 cases produced.
