Sophisticated, elegant, rich and nicely evolved, the nose of this generous bottling melds scents of strawberry jam, dried raspberry, grenadine, licorice root, sandalwood, dried herbs and some mineral undercurrents into a satisfying harmony. On the palate it is plush in body and slightly gripping and sweet woodsy notes, generous fruit and herbal spice create a richly flavorful melange that lingers with sweet-natured appeal. It will be a fine foil to opulent stews and dark meat entrees. It is unfiltered and has thrown some sediment. 118 cases produced.
