Surprisingly dark in color for this grape, this Cinsault also shows bright zest and impressive concentration in its panorama of grenadine, red currant, strawberry, lingonberry, pink peppercorn, rose bud and background mineral scents. Minerality, grip and zesty fruit bring structure on the palate, where cranberry, rose petal, grenadine, hibiscus and pink peppercorn bring focus to a lingering, food-worthy finish where elegant, sweet-natured fruit is counterpointed by drying notes of tannin and chalky minerality. A delicious dinner wine now, it wants another year or so to make it a more generous sipper as well. A blend of 80% Dry Creek Cinsault and 20% Occidental Pinot Noir. 130 cases produced.
