Brightly focused, vividly spicy and fresh, the aromas of this classically styled Beajoilais are dominated  by core notes of cranberry liqueur and sour dark cherry, with suggestions of blueberry, hibiscus, rattan, hazelnut husk and peppercorn in support. It is vibrantly refreshing and every bit as charming on the palate as hoped, where a chiseled rush of focused cranberry, red raspberry, sour red cherry and Santa Rosa plum flavors stay at center stage through a racy, lingering finish that is piquantly fresh and bone dry. Although it will soften over the next several years, it may never be more satisfying than it already is.
