Concentrated, complex and gorgeously elegant this beauty is likely the greatest Chardonnay yet released by Cattleya. The nose offers a filigreed medley of crunchy fresh apple, white peach tart, Meter lemon, pineapple core, toasted meringue and slate. It proves every bit as aristocratic on the palate, where Saar-like minerality teams with toasted meringue, hazelnut brittle, grapefruit pith and Meyer lemon to underpin super-long flavors centered on white peach tart and tarte tatin. Marvelous already, it is two years or so from being the truly great wine it is destined to become. 550 6-packs produced.
