This stunning Chardonnay is zesty, spicy, minerally, fruit-focused and distinctive for its energy and exquisite balance. The nose offers a razor-edged mix of fresh Fuji apple, white peach, white cherry, lemon sorbet, lemon curd and white pepper, with chalky mineral undertones. On the mid-palate, flavors of fresh apple, white peach, golden berry, lemon sorbet and hazelnut nougat gain a penetrating intensity as piquant zest and hard-edged minerality sharpen the focus. The finish is ultra-long and the texture has the raciness of fine White Burgundy. Terrific now, it will surely improve for two to four more years. 144 6-packs produced.

This bottling combines aromas of chalk, butter, almond and Mandarin pith. There is firm tension to the chalky, grippy palate, which pairs apple blossom, crushed stone and struck flint flavors with more citrus pith. Matt Kettmann  7/1/2021
