This bright and engaging Pinot is textbook “Rochioli” in its concentrated aromas of sour red cherry, black cherry, red raspberry and pink peppercorn. It is plush, balanced and precisely focused on the palate, where it achieves a lingering harmony between sweet and savory supporting notes of star anise, mace, sandalwood, coriander seed and pink peppercorn and center-stage flavors of bottled red cherry, red raspberry and whortleberry. A pretty wine already, it should become more elegant and complex over the next eighteen to twenty four months.
