From new fruit sources in 2022, this “Haze” bottling is both a much fruitier and more immediately forthcoming Cabernet than in the past. The nose is a vibrant, focused mix of sweet red cherry, red currant jam, pomegranate, cranberry sauce and boysenberry scents, which rise elegantly above savory notes of sweet tobacco, baking spice and a darker mineral undercurrent. It proves delightfully fruity on the palate, and displays surprisingly genteel tannins and a racy style that makes drinking all by itself a notable pleasure.
