Very rich yet attractively bright, the nose of this complex, generous Pinot Noir opens with aromas of ripe Bing cherry, dried cranberry, blueberry, toffee, star anise, coriander seed, rattan, mace, baking spice and canela. It proves just as rich on the palate and throughout the finish, where the otherwise plush fruit is a bit more youthfully restrained, which makes the coriander, star anise, canela and clay-like earthy background flavors seem a bit more prominent at this stage. It is already a fine dinner wine, but expect another two years of steady growth to produce an even more brilliant result. 680 cases produced.
