2014 Caraccioli Sparkling Brut Rosé Santa Lucia Highlands

NVWE Notes: The color of this pretty  Rosé shows a subtle nectarine-like hue, while the aromas are a genteel medley of white peach, lychee, Asian pear, lemon peel and pie crust, with a background hint of smoke. It proves as creamy and elegant as hoped on the palate, where peach-croissant flavors dominate and the quietly energetic mousse is exceptionally fine and persistent. Quite dry, the lingering finish carries on the impression of class. A delightful sipper, it would be as appealing with sashimi or prosciutto-wrapped papaya. A blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir fruit.
