CUFFLINKS CABERNET SAUVIGNON NAPA VALLEY 2016

NVWE Notes: Rich, creamy, attractively oaky and showing excellent fruit definition, this is a fine Napa Cabernet at a bargain price. The nose offers dark cherry, red plum, red current jelly, sweet tobacco, coffee toffee and dried laurel scents in a rich harmony. It is plush and gently juicy on the palate, with red fruit, baking-spice and dried herbal elements that rise above a background of vanilla toffee. The finish is full and lingering and it gains both structure and food-worthiness from polished tannins. It has the fullness to match Chateaubriand, yet might prove an even tastier companion to filet mignon with demi-glace and Madiera. It should grow more charming over the next two years. 225 cases produced.
