This is a bright, focused, attractively zesty young Pinot Noir that offers early appeal yet has the brooding intensity to suggests a brighter future for the patient. The nose delivers aromas of sour red cherry, black cherry, pomegranate, sweet pickled crab apples, teaberry, canela, baking spices and mace. It proves as dense and focused as expected on the palate, with impressive grip, piquantly forthcoming red fruits, mineral undercurrents and hints of peppercorn and hazelnut husk all notable. Quite long and already very attractive, it is likely four years away from its full maturity. It should be delicious now with seared duck breast, grilled salmon or Prime Rib.
