The nose of this precisely focused Pinot is bright, rich and buoyantly centered on blueberry, boysenberry, pomegranate, red raspberry, mace, baking spice and tobacco leaf scents that rise above a mineral undercurrent. It is full of youthful zest yet shows lovely precision on the palate, with flavors that are a more vibrant replica of the nose. It is extremely long and flavor-packed, despite youthful zest and an impressive spine of tannin. Terrific dinner wine already, it will be even finer if allowed two years more in the cellar. Fruit sourced from the famous Zio Toni vineyard.
