With its youthfully bright fruit and pretty spice this is already a harmonious dinner wine. The nose unveils scents of Bing cherry, red cherry, blueberry and whortleberry poised above savory notes of toffee, five spice and Oolong tea leaf. It is more expressive yet on the palate where polished tannins and piquant fruit create a cellar-worthy structure to support a rich core of cherry, blueberry, grenadine and whortleberry. The finish brings in flavors of cherry pit and hazelnut husk which add a cutting edge that refocuses the flavors.
