This is yet another brilliant vintage for this tiny Carneros vineyard. The 2020 is a focused, graceful Pinot Noir with a forthcoming nose of dark Bing cherry, dark boysenberry, hazelnut husk and baking spice accented by a spicy suggestion of cinnamon “red hots” candy. It is piquantly fresh yet just as rich as hoped on the palate where the dinner balance is truly outstanding. The finish is full and long, and the texture grows more supple as the wine airs, while the cherry-berry fruit and pretty spice remain central themes.
