2019 Blackbird “Arriviste” Rosé Napa Valley
NVWE Notes: This is a terrific Bordeaux-esque Rosé made distinctive by its copper-pink color, lovely fruit and seductive finish. The nose is a rich, soft-edged perfume of nectarine tart, wild strawberry, apricot pit, pink rose, sumac berry and toasted meringue scents. These notes are even more pronounced on the palate yet flavors of raspberry cream sickle and piquant cherry pit contrasts take center-stage. The result is a full-flavored, creamy yet zesty, texturally exciting medley that lingers beautifully. A deliciously satisfying sipper, it will be a fine counterpart to dry fruit-stuffed pork chops and the like. A saignée blend of 65% Cabernet sauvignon, 21% Merlot & 14% Cabernet Franc, 2500 cases made.
