Bedrock 2024 Zinfandel Old Hill

2024 is clearly a very great year for the Old Hill property. The nose offers stunning aromas of violet, pomegranate, black currant, tiger lily and licorice root: all these of almost orchid-like lusciousness and in perfect harmony. It is wonderfully pure on the palate, where piquant freshness and tannic grip firm intense flavors scented with pink, white and green peppercorn that rise in support of more lavish fruit suggestions which ideally mirror the nose. The finish is vibrantly youthful, deeply flavorful, extremely long and altogether delicious already. This beauty may drink with as much authority and bright zest twenty years in the future and is likely to get better for the next five years at the very least. A blend of Zinfandel, Grenache, Mataro, Petite Sirah and Alicante Bouschet grapes, 350 cases produced.
