Bright, zesty, densely fruity and notably youthful, the nose of this classy Syrah offers a focused medley of red raspberry coulis, pomegranate syrup, cranberry sauce, sweet pickled crab apple, crushed dark rose, black and Schezuan peppercorn, clove and Pu-erh tea scents. Each of these elements appears with similar intensity on the palate and they hold focus through a lingering finish where tannic grip is submerged by the wave of fruit and spice. Delicious already and balanced for dinner service, it will surely grow in appeal for several more years.
