Mineral hints pair with baked green apple, preserved citrus and suggestions of hazelnut meringue in the nose of this rich, Burgundy-like Chardonnay. It is lean yet has a palate-coating creaminess in the mouth, where apple, dried golden fig, vanilla cream, toasted meringue and dried peach flavors rise above a flinty mineral undertone. Very long and dinner balanced already, it will show its very best with sauced fish and fowl and will likely be better still next year.
