NVWE Notes: This is a deep, elegant Pinot Noir with a future. The youthfully shy nose offers focused scents of black cherry, grenadine, dry dark rose, root beer bark, mulling-spice, mace, nougat and hazelnut husk over a suggestion of dark tea leaf. Fruit is center-stage on the palate, where black cherry, dark plum, and dark boysenberry join cardamom, hazelnut, mace, mulling-spice and hints of forest mushroom. This finish is firm, but it lingers nicely, and this classy wine’s balance between forthcoming fruit and pretty spice bodes well for the future. Expect another two years of positive evolution. 290 cases produced.
