2019 Balletto Pinot Noir "Estate" Russian River Valley

NVWE Notes: The aromas of this pretty Pinot Noir are both genteel and surprisingly complex considering its modest price. The nose opens with scents of bottled red cherry, lingonberry, grenadine and whortleberry above a backdrop of baking spice, coriander seed and star anise. It is light in body, supple and quietly zesty on the palate, where the focused red fruit melange lingers impressively. At the end, sweet-natured notes of red cherry, lingonberry, grenadine, orange peel tea, baking spice and a hint of cinnamon find harmony. It is already a delightful summer Pinot Noir.
