2016 Balletto Syrah BCD Vineyard "Estate" Russian River Valley

NVWE Notes: Undercurrents of black peppercorn, beef jerky, dark pipe tobacco and toasted rosemary support richer scents of sour dark cherry, grenadine, dried cranberry and black raspberry in the nose of this notably food-worthy Syrah. These elements fan-out in much the same proportion on the palate, where zest, peppery spice and polished tannins bring firmness to the mouth-feel. The finish is lingering and already food friendly yet the wine should continue to evolve attractively over the next twelve months or so. 588 cases produced.
