Powerfully concentrated, focused and lavishly rich, this potent, classic Mount Veeder Cabernet offers aromas of sour dark cherry, black cherry, black raspberry and pomegranate molasses wrapped in a blanket of creamy vanilla, clove, baking spice, graphite and bay leaf. It is almost thick on the palate, where Petite Verdot adds color and backbone to already intense Cabernet fruit. The flavors are a more coiled replica of the nose and the finishing package is a deep, lingering mélange of sour red cherry, black cherry, mulberry, pomegranate syrup, cherry pit and sweet-savory spice. In all ways impressive already it is likely to live twenty years and beyond. Blended with 11% Petite Verdot, 190 cases produced.
