In the nose of this rich Chardonnay, aromas reminiscent of white rose and jasmine grace a richer core of white peach, baked green apple, preserved lemon and vanilla wafer, all these rising above a notable mineral undercurrent. At opening, firming minerality renders the wine a bit less forthcoming, although with airing the flavors come forth as  a palate-coating replica of the nose and the finish is generous, lingering and not as hard dry as the mineral notes predict. In the finish, flavors of apple, white peach and lemon cream pie take center stage. Nearing its apogee, it is already dinner friendly, soft-edged and delicious. 1360 6-packs produced.
