If a bit slow to fully reveal itself, this fine bottling unveils focused aromas of dark cherry, blueberry, blackberry, cedar, mocha, baking spice and vanilla. It proves both elegantly bright and appropriately gripping on the palate, where those same generous flavors fan out in a classy and lingering display. It is a fine dinner wine already, yet is certain to be considerably more so if allowed another twenty-four to thirty months of cellar time. 75 cases produced, with fruit from the Bonny’s Vineyard in Oakville and from Rutherford sources.
