97 Points
The 2020 Bordeaux Red Blend is composed of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Malbec, 28% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc, matured in 45% new French oak for 18 months. Medium to deep ruby-purple in color, it is scented of blueberries and red and black cherries with nuances of graphite, spice and tea leaves, continuing to blossom aromatically as it spends time in the glass. The medium-bodied palate is velvety and refreshing with alluringly floral fruit and a long, layered finish. Restrained and easy to drink, it's a great success in a challenging vintage. 2,189 cases were made. Drink Date 2024 - 2034. Erin Brooks 23rd Mar 2023

Aperture’s Bordeaux blend is always a gorgeous wine and the 2000 is a knockout. The nose offers intense, brightly focused aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cedar, clove, black olive and graphite that rise above a tighter core of dark cherry. It is firm, gutsy, bright and focused on the palate, with polish to smooth the edges. The finish is tight yet long, and it delivers youthful, concentrated fruit flavors stylishly married to dark spice notes. This beauty will be great with dark meats now and for the next five years and well beyond. A blend of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Malbec, 28% Merlot & 11% Cabernet Franc. 2,189 cases produced.
