Aperture 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
2019 Aperture Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley “Soil Specific”
San Francisco Wine Panel Score 97 Points
Immediately impressive for the intensity and precision of its fruit and dark savory undercurrents, this is a captivating young Cabernet. The aromas are a gorgeous medley of blackberry, black current, dark cherry, violet, graphite, charcoal, tobacco, baking-spice and dried herbal scents that line-up in chiseled focus. It proves as focused and delicious as expected on the palate, where vibrant zest and polished tannins add to the clarity. Very long and vibrantly youthful, the flavors are a push of dark fruits, dark terroir notes and dried herbal spice. Terrific now with Prime Rib and the like, it will be significantly finer if given a few years of cellar-time. Blended with 3% Merlot & 1% Malbec. 2800 cases produced.
