Gutsy and focused, although clearly a youngster, this Cabernet offers a complex aromatic mix of boysenberry, sweet dried cranberry, dark sour cherry, red rose, canella, toffee, baking spice and dried herbs. At opening, youthful zest, minerality and tannin tighten the texture and fruit expression, making the red currant jam, sour red cherry, rose, tobacco leaf, baking spice and laurel flavors a bit slow to unfold. While the finish is very long and the balance dinner-worthy, this wine will become ever more expansive and more supple over the next three years and well beyond. 1050 cases produced.
