One of the stars of its highly praised vintage, This classy, structured Pinot offers youthful yet forthcoming aromas of black cherry, Bing cherry, raspberry, “red vines” licorice, pink peppercorn, licorice root and baking spice, all rising above a firming mineral undercurrent. The combination of youthful brightness, minerality and tannin creates a racy, structured impression on the palate, where the fruit notes neatly replicate those delivered in the nose and gain depth from rich undercurrents of baking spice, mace, hazelnut and emerging suggestions of forest mushroom. It proves extremely long and pristinely dinner-balanced in the finish, so food service will already bring pleasure. Expect three or four years of positive evolution. 100 cases produced.
