Cassis, black cherry, hazelnut husk, allspice, graphite and dark earth aromas highlight a somewhat slow to unfold aromatic melange in the nose of this clearly ripe Cabernet. Black cherry, cassis, violet, Santa Rosa plum, clove, allspice, dark tobacco and graphite are notable flavors on the layered, moderately gripping palate. The wine’s red fruit impressions grow more apparent in the finish, as zest and tannic grip streamline the mouthfeel so everything grows more amiable with further airing. The finish is quite long and the tannins polished, yet this already tasty Cabernet is likely four years from its full maturity. 1036 cases produced.
