Oaky and luxuriously ripe, the aromas of this richly textured bottling center on baked apple, peach, lemon zest, vanilla custard, honeyed nuts and baking spice. On the palate, as expected, it proves tongue-coating, if a bit less evolved. The flavors are centered on fresh citrus fruits, hazelnut nougat, nutmeg, honey and vanilla which rise above an emerging undercurrent of ripe peach. The lingering finish is full of fruit and spice cut by some mineral undertones. Enjoy this wine now with the most opulent of cuisines, but expect it to really bloom if allowed another year or so of cellering. 100 cases produced.
