Fruit forward and intense, the aromas of this delicious Cab are a focused mix of blackberry, black currant, dark cherry galette, clove, cedar, toasted hazelnut, black tea, graphite and licorice root scents. It is rich and gutsy on the palate with coiled flavors of dark cherry, cherry pit, black raspberry, black currant, fig, coffee bean, dark pipe tobacco, licorice root, graphite and hazelnut that are focused and energetic. The finish is concentrated, lingering and food-balanced and there is ample tannin for cellaring. Expect four to five years of improvement at minimum. Fruit sourced from vineyards in Oakville, Rutherford, Pritchard Hill and Atlas Peak. 561 cases produced.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it opens with a very serious nose of classic blackcurrants and cigar box with nuances of tilled earth, pencil lead and tobacco leaf. The seductive, full-bodied palate delivers bags of wonderfully pure, crunchy black and blue fruits with firm, fine-grained tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and lifted.
